Monogram Furniture sponsored a table where our staff and guests enjoyed the Holiday Wrapping Luncheon and Fashion Show on December 7th, 2021. This event was presented by TidalHealth and the Roland Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland.

Along with the challenges we’ve all faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, cancer research has faced new challenges, as well as the patient services we’ve been able to provide. Cancer hasn’t stopped, but many cancer research labs had to pause their work during the pandemic, as did our American Cancer Society Hope Lodges and our Road to Recovery programs. Now, more than ever, funding is critical.
Our support of Holiday Wrappings 2021 will fund our Hope Lodge of Baltimore’s 10 million dollar campaign to provide free lodging for cancer patients like those who live here on Delmarva, whose best hope for effective treatment is at one of the major centers in Baltimore. Hope Lodge provides free lodging for the cancer patient and one caregiver, allowing guests to focus on getting better in a nurturing home-like environment where they can retreat to private rooms or connect with others. In 2019, more than 400 cancer patients and their caregivers stayed nearly 13,000 nights at Hope Lodge in Baltimore, saving an estimated $2.3 million in out-of-pocket costs. Eastern Shore patients filled rooms on 426 of those nights at a $74,550 savings to those patients.
